    it ends up working out like a cat box. you'll need to sift it out eventually or it will just keep building up in little clump balls. plus, if water spills on it, it becomes saturated and could potentially be a breading ground for bacteria and bugs if not cleaned regularly. that's my experience...

    Thank you! =) these are the first ones ive been able to choose myself. =) i inherited the flock i have now. so it's kinda exciting, getting turkeys next month as well =)

    My newest additions to my flock. 1 partridge silkie, 1 blue silkie, 1 black sex link, and 1 silver laced wyandotte. they are super friendly at this point and fall asleep in my hand or perched on my arm. =)

    chances are they will peck at any vine you plant near their coop. pick peas or something that they're allowed to eat if you aren't going to something plant gorgeous. Kingston/Poulsbo area here =)

    ya i dont plan on butchering them. pets lol i plan on raising any possible mated lays for meat if i end up with a tom and a hen. two toms and i'll sell one and try for another hen. but either way my plan for these turkeys is to keep as loved pets. =) so it sounds like i'll just keep them...
