do you have any fertile eggs? I would be interested in purchasing some in the spring. I have a friend who is a kindergarten teacher and I am going to let the class "help" me hatch some eggs.
The little ones are not in with the big ones. When I do take out the little ones the are in separate runs, but next to each other. I would have sworn by blu-kote until now. I do have a hanging tomato plant in their run, but I think it has finally quit producing, so I will hang a head of lettuce...
Send your eggs my way.........everyone wants them, we'll split the profits. I have 4 laying now. I can't keep up. I have 12-2week olds. I don't think I can push them that fast.
Bye the way I'm a thread killer usually............sorry.
Girls were FINE al day long, they are 24 (plus?) weeks. Went to check for last egg at 1PM after the pounding rain quit and everyone was fine. I have to be at work at 4am, so I am home by 1pm. Recently got new (2 week) chicks, which I have taken out 3 times in a covered run(RAINING), so the big...
Groundhogs are vegetarians. They hide in their dens at night, so you will only see them during the day as they are the hunted if out at night. I had a problem with one last year in the garden. When you come near them they shake and make a chattering noise. They eat appox. 2 pounds of vegetation...
I, myself have been there done that. I left everything, except one bag and one suitcase. Unfortunately it was the SECOND time that did it for me. She is young, as I was, and may go back (I did once). But do not alienate her for it. Be there as you were tonight, and she will learn. She is in my...
Hey chicksrule!!! Yes it is me looking for the bator. The transplant surgery is scheduled for September 17, and I needed something to do with 8 weeks off. I also ordered more chicks. DH thought just a hand full.......so I ordered 12. I called today to see how many roos that they might throw in...
Thanks. I was hoping to get a breed that does go broody as I'd like to hatch some guinea and other chicks as well.
Thank goodness DH doesn't read this.
Thank you. I have 12 more pullets on the way (29th). My aunt sell her honey at our farmer's market and is trying to get me to sell there as the gentleman that was selling lost his flock to the floods earlier in the summer and they are desperate for fresh eggs. I doubt very seriously my 4 are...
I can home from work to find an equal amount of eggs to pullets. My poor RIR that is 23 weeks and was starting to get picked on, finally layed today. Now maybe the other girls will see her as an equal.
Has she just started laying? I had a red sex link that was just like that until the first egg and now she is just the sweetest thing. I chalked it up to puberty.
