    should chickens be molting right now? I have one that is loosing a lot of feathers.

    Mine have no determined time to molt, but most seem to be in the fall. If you wish to have more input. you could post this in a forum instead of on your timeline, so more can see it.

    Other reasons chickens lose feathers is from mites, poor nutrition, and/or bullying. Usually, it's molting though.
