We have a young pair of Buff Toulouse geese and we love them, along with all of our ducks. Our pair of geese were hatched June 7th, 2020 and shipped to us from Metzer Farms. This is their first season of breeding and laying eggs/nesting.

It wouldn't hurt. Some say it works for their hens. We wish we had done so earlier. Our girls are laying in their night time eclosure early in the AM … wherever the mood strikes them and they usually try to bury them in their hay bedding. It is exciting! Good Luck!

If a pill becomes stuck and dissolves against the lining of the esophagus, it can cause a chemical burn or irritation. In these cases, an antacid is recommended. Our vet spent quite a bit of time with us stressing the importance.
I was definitely not suggesting aspirin. It would make the esophageal irritation worse, for sure! I was linking to this member’s vet approving the use of Maalox in a chicken. This my suggestion of using Maalox to soothe the irritated or burned esophageal lining.
