My humidity for the first 18 days was around 40-45 and after lock down around 70 although my hygrometer is not a very good one so it may have been reading incorrectly but the window was steamed up so it was fairly humid. I have tried calibrating it and it's different every time!

I spent my entire night freeing 7 shrink wrapped chicks from their shells. They'd all pipped 24 hours before and couldn't move to zip. I don't know why they were so stuck but they were.
7 warm washcloths and hundreds of gentle pick pick picks at the membrane, a few bits of blood and a few dodgy...
We are on day 20.
One chick hatched, no others pipping yet. My 4 year old accidentally broke the plastic viewing window of the incubator. The temp and humidity didn't seem to drop much in the few minutes it took me to fix it but I'm not sure as my hygrometer is rubbish!
The same thing happened...
I put mine in cupcake cases just making sure I didn't block the vents or anything- it seemed to work quite well for seperating and : catching mess but didn't restrict the hatching. Unless one hatches way before the others and really starts crashing around- they are not sturdy enough for that.
I put three eggs into lockdown on day 18- candled and they all looked fine.
They all wiggled about for a day then stopped.
One hatched day 19, the others haven't moved, squeaked or hatched since and we are just coming into day 22.
Would they have hatched by now if they were going to as the first...
They were mailed to me so I guess if the post office was particularly warm they may have started early? I do remember thinking they looked a bit further on than some of the candling pictures I'd seen for the relevant days but decided it was my ignorance and lack of candling skill!
I have a tiny...
I am only on day 15 and one of my eggs is rocking about a lot. If it were to pip much before day 18 I guess it should go straight into lockdown? But what about the others?
edit:
There are two at it now so I guess that makes it easier as there are only 3 in there in the first place! I can lock...
