Bump

Everything I’ve seen on vent gleet looks very different. This is almost like another layer of skin, the way it’s dry and patchy. My husband said he smelled bad but I was closer and didn’t smell anything.

We were trimming vents today since there so bad from a super wet winter and spring. I noticed this on our rooster and have never seen anything like it. Any thoughts? It’s like a part of the skin.

So this morning we very gently pecked at the swollen chunk inside trying to figure out if it’s the infection or his foot. I scraped off a tiny piece and it started bleeding pretty badly so I’m assuming it’s just part of his foot since the infection puss wouldn’t have blood vessels. We’re just...

I had a little metal tool in there scraping for almost an extremely long time(until the chunks stopped coming out) and that piece wouldn’t budge. Not sure how to get it to pop out.

Well, we worked on it again yesterday. So so so many chunkies came out. I don’t know how all of that fit in there. We absolutely could not get the very center after digging in there for a good hour but I’m hoping we got enough to get it to heal now. Thanks so much!! I sure appreciate all the help.

We didn’t get Neosporin back on it because it was bleeding so bad It wouldn’t have stayed. Will he be okay until morning and we can check and put it on again? We had some on earlier.

It’s soft and squishy but we’re putting him down today. Even if we get that fixed, his leg has not improved at all. He’s doing worse every day and I won’t watch him suffer any longer. He’s such a good boy.
