    I have also just got my 1st flock and my very 1st egg today. Roughly how long will our fresh eggs last in the fridge? (I live in Brisbane Australia and the house gets very hot) For my own consumption I'd just eat the eggs that I know are the oldest 1st but I don't want to be passing funky eggs...

    Thank you for all the warm welcomes. @TwoCrows I think you're right about the names, I wouldn't know if I'm even brave enough to do the chop anyway :/ Just got my 1st egg Wohoo! However, it looks a bit cracked. Could this be from lack of calcium in their diet or just clumsy hens?
