Looks just like my Anconas. They will gain more black as they grow. Comb will be large due to breed so don't let that fool you.

    BLRW pullet or cockerel?

Good news. The lacing all over says pullet to me but I'm not a BLRW expert. Thanks for weighing in.

    BLRW pullet or cockerel?

Sorry about the poor pic but does anyone have an idea about this beauty? The comb color is what has me worried. Hoping for a pullet. Its around 11-12 weeks old best I can remember. Thanks!

OK, so not sure what's up but the past two weeks I've been getting a tiny egg from one of my hens. All my hens are large fowl so its def not from a bantam. Anyone have any ideas? I get one about every 3rd day.

Yeah, I'm going to try that. I've kicked her out of the nest a couple times but haven't removed her from the coop. I'll give it a try this evening.

AHHHH! I have a broody hen...and of all hens it's a SBEL. Is that even possible? Lol I was out of town Wed so I didn't get eggs until last night. Only two days worth in the next box. Kinda crazy. I pushed her off the nest this morning and took the eggs so hopefully she'll break.

Just make sure she's kind of separated. Mine in the past have tried to move nests or gather other eggs to add to what is underneath her presently. I've let a broody hatch 3 years in a row now. MUCH easier than raising chicks on your own. I separated mine at various points but made sure they were...

I have a few extra 5 week old pullets for sale if anyone is interested. These are from Ideal hatchery for the most part. I'm going to list them on craigslist later but thought I'd give you guys a crack at them first. I only have a couple of each breed. Ancona, Delaware, Gold Laced Wyandotte...

I could probably part with a couple 9 month old pullets. I also have a few different breeds of 3-4 week old pullets. Any breed you're looking for in particular. I live in Murfreesboro.

We are with Metlife. No farm policy. Right in the middle of Murfreesboro. I had a contractor come out and write damage and bid up first. Then adjuster came out. Funny thing is contractor didn't write up coop but adjuster asked me if I wanted it fixed. Who knows, guess every company is different.

Mine is covered. We had a hail storm come through last year. They were going to replace the roof and sides on the coop but I used the money for a new fence.
