The Middle Tennessee Thread

I have a Choc Orp roo (from Foley from GFF) x Black. Not bantam. I also have 2 Choc Orp eggs in the bator. I they turn out to be roos I will have those Choc or Split roos for sale. I would think soon I will have eggs to hatch and will have some split roos available too.

If you have blacks already you just need the choc genes. If they are split roos you will get 25% choc pullets 25% Black Pullets and 25% split roos and 25% black roos.... but you can't tell the difference between a black and split with out test mating with a choc pullet.

I also have Choc Wyandottes from Alex from Foley.

Wayne... GOOD NEWS! ALL the Light Sussex are developing

and I can get more in the spring for you.

I have 12 total, 4 from an earlier hatch and 8 this go around. We are trying to draw up a standard for the APA in the IBCC ( Iowa Blue Chicken Club ) I have blood from Kari McKay Widdel and Jim Heinz. I have both a penciled coloration and a birchen. Penciled Birchen http://www.iowabluechickenclub.com/index.html https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/...bcc-breed-standard-discussion-club-discussion
Nice! I just bought a couple hatchery pullet chicks as extras in an order. Now wishing I had just picked up some of the penciled ones from you lol

Donna turn your darn green light on and stop lurking in stealth mode it's creepy. Want do you think you'll want for the choc would you want to trade some cuckoo orps then we can both make this

This is my Blue Barnevelder Roo....Hatching eggs and chicks available in the spring
Wow, That is a beautiful Roo! How well & what size eggs are you getting from the hens? (Trying to justify getting some now that I see this picture, I have seen the darker ones and they are also stunning, yes, they are on my wish list!)

Quote: Thank You. A lot of utility has been breed out and most of what was originally imported was show stock to start with, with that being said they are not gonna out lay any utility breeds. I do get an egg a day right now with no supplemental lighting so I can only guess things will get better in the spring. The eggs are large and my Barnevelders cause me the least amount of problems, one of my smarter breeds for sure. I'll be hatching some of these very soon just let me know.

It's just another chicken what is there to justify...do the math...chicken math...lol
