Awesome!!!!!!I love the idea of having a thread dedicated to all things dog training! I currently have a 3yo GSD that I adopted about a year ago and am now training as my Cardiac Alert and response Service Dog! He came to me with basic obedience, along with e-collar training because he went to a board and train when he was younger, so that made SD training a lot easier, as I could focus a lot more on teaching tasks and public access rather than obedience. I LOVE dog training, and am actually starting my own business and am currently training my first clients dog! As for the method I use, I would say its a balance, with shaping behaviors using positive reinforming, and then creating reliability through corrections when needed. Also, I am trying to train him to stop killing my chickens, and I would say it is going really well. Any tips regarding that are appreciated.
