thanks for the input...luckily he/she is doing fine this afternoon...i think it may have had had something stuck in his crop and couldn't pass it...but thanks again and i will continue to make sure it is eating well
I would just hold off for a while and see if it falls off...it can't hurt anything...and as far as reuniting it with the others...it depends on if the mom will take care of it...at times i have seen moms separated from chicks reject them later on but that's fairly rare...just give it time to...
O my god...that's terrible...i wish i could help...maybe someone who knows a little more will reply...i had the same problem once but never that serious...and i used olive oil but the case your dealing with is beyond me...sorry
I have 4 turkeys that are 5 days old and one has begun breathing somewhat heavy...not to bad just barely noticeable...and his face right below his eyes is moving in and out...not sure of the correct term but it is like your stomach does when you breath...he was fine this morning and this...
It really depends...in SC...the price of a tom could vary depending on the region...and i have no idea about PA...but the breed of the turkeys will also affect the value...but the only thing i can tell you is to check craigslist and see what others are askin for turkeys in your area

you're not gonna hatch anymore eggs ...lol...but i have the same incubator but still need to get a fan and turner for it...that's why i got the hova-bator but that was a mistake...i watched the video and the new baby is adorable and it's defiantly a showgirl...congrats again and good luck...
so there are 5 ducks that stay in our pond...they are someone else ducks but it is in terrible shape...it could barely walk yesterday and today it can only get around by flapping it's wings...it has lost a lot of its feathers on its back neck and wings...i put her in a huge dog crate with some...

I bought Mom at the end of June. She was laying fertile eggs so I wanted to see if she would go broody (my only chance since I don't have roos). She had no interest in that, so I went out and bought a cheapy incubator from TSC. I planned on more than one egg, but it just didn't work...
it happens...unfortunately...and the bad part is once one starts getting picked on by a bigger one all the others join in too...and you can separate em for a day and when you put em back in there and they'll still pick on it...idk why...just mother nature at her best i guess
hmmm...not a good idea to hatch just 1 egg...i would see if the mom would adopt it so it won't be lonely...but congratulations ...and i believe it would be a showgirl
