After 3 days on safegaurd I have looked at several fresh poops and have not seen any worms which is a bummer bc I was hoping this would take care of my problem. My next step of action is starting corrid. Some of the poo is like diarrhea and I think I see some blood. Sooooo....I guess that is...
thru much searching tonight I found this info. It looks like after 36 hours it is safe ...

To be honest I don't know. I have one chicken that wasn't eating and pale comb pooping watery. Several chickens are just sitting hunched up watery poo etc....trying to get some health back. I'm using safeguard. Worker in water for 3 days. The really sick one I have her .50 no straight in...
I have started to deworm my chickens. I am using safe guard goat liquid wormer. I am trying to find out if the eggs are edible at all. I have over 100 chickens and don't want throw them out if I don't have to. I have read I several place, several different things. I can eat them, throw them...
Is there something in Calf Grain that will kill chickens if they get too much? We've had 2 die in the past couple weeks, and another on her way out. She is having a hard time breathing almost like CRD.
I have a insulated coop (6x8). We bought 42 chickens and 2 ducks. I want to keep the ducks seperated b/c of the mess they make so I put them into another container but still in the coop. I have a heat lamp over the chicks and one over the ducks. They are both plugged into the same outlet...
I really don't think you have to worry too much. Those spots could be from the others pecking on them. Maybe others have other ideas, but I wouldn't worry too much.

I've looked into everything that I could think of. The majority of the chickens are younger....less than a year old, the others will be 2 this spring. I don't think this is the problem.
Their diet has 20% protein, so this is definately Not the problem
We have a big shed with over 500...
I trimmed the beak b/c all the chickens are pecking each other so bad that some are almost completely bald. We've had very cold weather and I'm surprised that none have died from it. I want to stop the pecking and i thought that trimming the beaks would be easier than putting the 'glasses' on them
I tried to trim a chicken's beak today and accidently went too far. I didn't think I was that far. Will she be ok? I tried putting the powder on it it but she just ate it off. Will she bleed to death?
I had yogurt in her cage for quite some time, but she wouldn't touch it. I finally gave in, b/c she had gone without food for so long, gave her some water downed food and put a immuno booster in her water (she was drinking). She has passed some nasty looking poo, and she is eating like there...
It's hard to say what is going on. Mine are doing the same thing and they are going through a molt. I guess I would try some yogurt for extra protein and to up the good bugs in the system. Otherwise electrolytes? I recently bought from Mcmurray some Avia charge for extra protein and Immuno...
I don't really know how to stop them from pecking...b/c I've tried everything. Mine all started at a young age, and there are still doing it. You can put blue kote on the ones that are bleeding and try an anti-pick lotion on the tail feathers, but it's not a guarantee they wont peck eachother.
Her crop is a hard mass, but when I tip her over what does come out...liquid stinks terribly like throw up. I did try the bread and olive oil earlier in the week and she only ate a little of that.
