I have a show quality girl in Illinois. Im looking for a cockerel to breed with so I can start a line. I love my girl but she came to us later and is a bit on the scared side. Near chicago.
I stumbled upon a "show quality" bantam lavender ameraucana while buying another breed at a farm. She was so stinking cute so I bought her and named her pearl. I have 2 questions.
Go easy on me because Im new at this.
#1. Why the heck is she "crying" all the time? Sad? Sounds like a...
That little creamy one looks just like my banty ameraucana. more like a wheaton color. she's about a pigeon size. a fat pigeon. ha Makes me want chicks again!!! Hurry up spring.
Hi, I am currently in a city that does have a law on chickens. AGAINST THEM. ha. So Im underground. I have a beautiful blue coop that my husband built from a picture online I wish I could post but Im new so I can't. I currently have:
2 mystery pullets- rescues
3 wheaton ameraucanas- laying...
I have 2 OE pullets about to lay that I need to rehome STAT. Im in Chicago. I sent my husband for 1 and he came back with 6 different chickens. DOH! I only have 6 spots in my coop as is. Im too new to post pictures or in the for sale type sections. Thought Id try here.
I have a bird just like your black copper maran. Are you sure thats what it is? I got mine as a rescue. Same age now as your picture. Please let me know. Cant figure out if its a BCM or what?
Yes you are right! I guess what Im trying to say is I only want the 1st generation Olive Egger to come from a Maran and a Wheaten and not an EE. Sorry about that. Im confusing myself!
Looking for a 2nd generation olive egger. Not from an EE. Looking for a blue wheaton crossed with black copper maran. Hatching eggs would be preferable.
