Breed and gender of these hen+chicks please??

By the way, is being "rumpless" something bad? Is it a mutation, or an indication of its breed/gender?

Breed and gender of these hen+chicks please??

Any idea of the gender of the chicks? Any easy indicators you might think of? I can't really approach them they just run away.

Breed and gender of these hen+chicks please??

I understood that Tilly was the one laying the eggs, but honestly I can't be 100% sure. Actally my husband said he remembered the previous owner saying something about "polish", so it could be that the father was a Polish Bantam.

Breed and gender of these hen+chicks please??

Hello!! These are the new additions to my family, Tilly and her three babies. I have no idea what breed she is, I got her from a neighbour's daughter who has a few chickens. The only thing I know about the chicks is that they are 6 weeks old (well now maybe 7 or 8, it took a while for them to...

Noisy, impossible to please hen. Please help!

Yes, that was another option but I live in a housing estate and I was afraid the neighbours might complain then. They don't hear the hens but a rooster is a whole other thing, isn't it?

Noisy, impossible to please hen. Please help!

Noisy, impossible to please hen. Please help!

Noisy, impossible to please hen. Please help!

We are both vegetarian so... yeah, I'm pretty sure we won't eat her LOL Plus, when she is quiet she is nice enough, actually when you approach her she is quite submissive, but only to humans. Such an odd ball!! Maybe she does need more entertainment, I don't know. I will try :)

Hello everyone! First of all, some background info that might help. I have three rescued hens from two different rescues. I got the first three ones in February last year and I got two more this year in March. The original three got along quite well. The boss, Uhura, was a bit mean with the...

What to do with a dominant, feather-pecking, bossy hen?

Hello everyone! I have three rescued hens from two different rescues. I got the first three ones in February last year and I got two more this year in March. The original three got along quite well. The boss, Uhura, was a bit mean with the others at the start but when the other two accepted...
