If you clip both sides, it defeats the purpose. They can still fly like that. The idea is to throw their balance off so that it’s more difficult to get in the air.
The last pic is of the one I had in there originally. They seemed to like the old one ok but I never saw all six ladies using it. Usually 2-3 and maybe 4 at the most and I didn’t like the idea of them maybe not having enough room and some being left out.

Thankyou. I added some photos. They aren’t chicks anymore. Tweedy and Wynona , which are the shot-callers of the group (we were almost certain they were roosters for a month or two), actually started laying a few days ago. Tweedy is the one in the only solo photo.
