    Lavender Orpington chicks week old sex

    I picked up 3 chicks locally, and was told he would buy back any cockerels. I know lavender orpingtons are hard to tell what gender early on, but I can clearly see a difference. Can anyone confirm by these pics?

    I was told he was a Barred Rock, but I got this little beauty this morning! Is he California Grey? Or something else? I have one white leghorn hen who is about 4 years old. She's mama.

    Are there rooster behaviors that show up early? Sometimes the spotted on will dart in front of the solid one, and go around it, like I've seen my BR rooster do to hens.
