#1 looks like a cockerel with his larger comb and #2 looks like a pullet. So adorable!

Are there rooster behaviors that show up early? Sometimes the spotted on will dart in front of the solid one, and go around it, like I've seen my BR rooster do to hens.

It could be that. Another cause for that kind of behavior is sorting out their places in their chick pecking order, or hierarchy.
