    another update: the electrolyte water seems to have made the chooks poop more normal, hopefully when the flystrike heals the diarrhoea will go away i’ve placed a mosquito net over her pen to prevent anymore flies landing on her

    done some googling and it seems iodine is similar to betadine so will continue to use that :) the instructions on the bottle say it prevents infections etc

    yes she is eating :) i’m about to go down and check her but yesterday i didn’t feel any bloat, just a very sharp chest bone as i assume she hasn’t been absorbing any nutrients i’ll try get some buttermilk today if not then tomorrow thank you so so much for your help

    here are some pictures the green longish things are what i think may be maggots, i zoomed in on what may be fly eggs but now that i look closer i could be wrong? as you can see she’s in pretty rough shape, the wound looks almost necrotic :/ (the yellow on her is iodine)
