So one of my hens became broody and we decided to let her go through with hatching the eggs. The only problem is I’ve never done this before.
All of the chicks have hatched okay and they are peeping away happily.
However, I had to help one chick out of its shell and it’s still attached...

Okay thank you!! As I said, this is my first time raising chickens so I don’t know much more than the basics so seeing all the other chickens flourish and become huge it made me worry that she wasn’t getting everything she needed. Thank you for all the help I really appreciate it!!
I’m in South Carolina. And thank you! I didn’t know that you needed more than just scratch . Besides the growing, she seems just fine and acts like all the other chickens for the most part. There are times when she acts more like a chick than she should for her age, is this a problem?
