    Obviously, that could be a male trait, look for other Obviously male signs such as saddle, hackles, comb and wattles size, colour etc, leg size. However, I have a female Welsummer, head of one of my flocks, she is in with 5 other girls and q handsome boy called Cluck Stock and 2 smoking nuggets...

    The odd thing is that, when he fertilised 2 of my BCM eggs I got 2 Blue Marans, see pics. He also definitely came out of a Marans egg. So it made sense that he was in fact a Blue Splash Marans. Sorry, this is really confusing for a novice!

    Oh wow, amazing news! So they may look like my bluebell, 1 just has more copper leakage, I'm assuming that is a bad thing with Blues. Also, does anyone know what you get if you breed a splash male with a Blue pullet. Ooohhhh thank you so much! Looking forward to these dark eggs! Xxxx
