The lady I got them from said she had, barred, red pile, spangled, black, ginger red, wheaten and splash. Can someone post pics of chicks in these colours maybe? The closest I can find is maybe mille fleur, but I really doubt it.
It looks like a RIR or RIR mix (could be an EE mix with RIR) to me.
I have lots, I'll post some pics ASAP.
I don't have any really young pics of them, but they were just as fluffy. These are a little over a week old. They are RIR, Light Brahma mixes.
Here's what they look like when they get...
I got a dozen OEG bantam eggs for hatching. All but one chick look the same. The rest are black with a little bit of yellow (Or white) on the tips of their wings, under their belly and under their beaks.
What colour will this one be? I'm stumped.
I was pretty surprised myself. The buff one is obviously a roo, it grew big wattles and a big comb almost over night, I kept thinking maybe it was going to lay, but no. This morning it was trying to breed all the girls in the pen and fight with the main rooster I've got, so he's for sale, and in...
Just thought I'd update this for fun, because I was waaaay off!
The buff "PAIR" was not a pair at all, lol the one I thought was a hen, started crowing today, a good crow too!
And the white one was a hen, she laid an egg last week, I'm thinking she was older then I was told.
The black one...

Thank you onthespot!
I don't plan on hatching any of her eggs, they are too yummy! lol
I will keep everyone posted on any changes on Gretta, but so far so good, still no more wierd eggs today.
Has anyone had an internal layer that self corrected itself and ended up alright? (If that...
Just a quick update, she only laid one of the strange eggs yesturday, and bright and early this morning when I went out, she had already laid a big brown egg, just like usual!
So I'm just going to keep an eye one her, and wait and see. I'm hoping that whatever the problem was, she's corrected it.

I wish they WERE potatoes! She stills looks fine, not a feather out of place, eating and drinking good.
I've just never seen this before, she was laying fine one day, and then the strange the next. If she starts to look like she's suffering at all, I'll cull her. I don't want her to be...
Alright, so I didn't get a chance to upload pics last night, the darn hydro was out for hours . Someone hit a pole, we had such bad fog and wet ice, I hope they are okay. Anyway, back to the wierd "eggs", she laid one in the morning, and 2 sometime in the late afternoon, and when I went out...
Alright, so I just went out to check on everybody and collect the last of todays eggs, and the hen in question has now laid 2 more of those wierd "eggs", that makes three today! I'll get pictures of the new ones in a bit. They are the same as the one from this morning, but are a little bit...
Okay thanks for the info Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain. I went out and checked her, I don't feel any lumps or bumps, she's eating and drinking fine. So I guess I'll see what she lays, if she lays tomorrow.
Mrs. AK-Bird-Brain :
I understand. Well, keep an eye on her, and check her abdomen for solid masses... feels like you can feel an egg in there. If it doesn't go away, then she's probably laying internally. If she seems healthy and happy, then I'd just leave her be. We can only hope that...
