Here's my entry. This is Scumper and she is half Silkie, Half Polish. She's fantastic and so friendly.

    Chicken Roomba Ballet

Hahaha, glad I could give you a laugh! I bought one of those water hoses that shrinks when not in use, my 3 chickens were pretty cautious of it at first but soon stopped caring, they fear nothing!

I see your Dinosaur Rider and I raise you the Chicken Roomba Ballet, with a Silkie as the star:

    Chicken Roomba Ballet

I'm always amused how they seem to fear nothing. The only thing they are scared of is the mop!

    Chicken Roomba Ballet

Hi Guys, I think there might be something seriously wrong with me :lau, but I made this:

    The Adventure Chicken

She laid her first egg today at 8 months old! I'm going to have to get used to calling her she instead of he!

    The Adventure Chicken

Yours look super fluffy, I always wanted a Silkie but whilst Scrumper isn't a Silkie, I'm happy to have such a weird chicken that likes to go places. My other two chickens won't dare to go adventuring and would run off almost straight away if I let them go. Scrumper just follows me :D

    The Adventure Chicken

Indeed, Scrumper hasn't laid any eggs yet, my other two chickens are both Pekin Bantams and they are the ones laying the eggs. Hence me thinking I might have a rooster.

    The Adventure Chicken

Isn't kayaking with your chicken a normal thing to do then? He went for 7 hours with me on Saturday. No panicking at all, just seemed happy to come with me, he fell asleep at one point too

    The Adventure Chicken

Thanks guys, when I bought the eggs I was told Silkies would hatch from them, at 8 months Scrumper doesn't look like a Silkie

Why do my chickens not like MealWorms?

I soaked mine in a bowl of water for a bit first as they wouldn't eat them. They can't get enough of them now!

    The Adventure Chicken

I posted a while back on this forum about my chicken Scrumper, still have no idea of gender, but as he turns 8 months old I'm beginning to think male. I'm also unsure of breed but at a glance I'd think Leghorn Silkie. If anyone can tell that would be great, pictures in the instagram link...

    Baby Silkie

It's now nearly eight weeks old, super friendly and behaving generally like a parrot. Favourite thing seems to be to flap up onto someone's shoulders and stay there whilst said person goes around the house!
