I believe duck eggs gives a better picture when candling. My chicken eggs are always so dark can't hardly see anything but just for like the first 7 days. After that it's really hard to see anything. So I'm gonna wait till I get a couple duck eggs underway before adding my pics. It's hard to...

Egg Candling! Tips, Tricks, and Best Practices.

There is not a reason exactly. Why not to candle from the pointy end. I have seen alot of people that actually candles that way for the first little bit. But you will see when you get farther along in candling that you can't see as well from the pointy end. Other than that I don't think it...

    humidity and call duck eggs

I show you some of the ones I hatched. Have had 3 perfect hatches with no help whatsoever. Ducks did worry me first time cause they took over 36 hours from pip to zip. But they do take they long usually. Just some of the little cuties I got this year. And everyone of my chicken eggs hatched...

    humidity and call duck eggs

The spike in humidity I have found never hurts them at all. And yes I keep my humidity around 45 to 55 for first days and then the last 3 I go between 65 and 70 if possible. Never had a problem with the nurture right. Have had awesome hatch rates this year already. And another incubator I'll...

Right I have told a bunch of people that. Because I hate to see anyone's pictures get disqualified because they didn't read the rules good. But hopefully some will change them. I hope everyone good luck

Chickens and especially ducks have become quite popular. I was at rural king and they said they haven't been able to keep a duckling all spring. They sell them fast as they get them.

And they said the other day they had already had to disqualify over 50 pics so far because they had a person or body part in them. Just want to see peoples pictures actually get counted.
