Just wondering what you think is a good ratio for eggs hatching in incubator. For example I just put 11 eggs in my incubator and day 28 was today. 10 out of 11 hatched. That's good but what is considered a bad hatch? Any incubators you DONT suggest using? YAY Silver Appleyards!
Just a quick update. I separated the two groups but noticed that there was absolutely no arguing at all so today I opened the gates and wished myself luck. . . There was no arguments. They even laid beside each other and all waddled into the barn as a group.
Actually the lady didn't want to sell them but is going threw some family difficulties and leaving the country 4 weeks at a time(going to the states). So it's easier to sell some and know they are going to a good home. I will be trying it :) I have more females on the way as well so once they...

I love my Silver Appleyards but I think they are already sold out from the Metzer website (I didn't get mine there) I'd be interested in Cayugas next after my Saxonys
Yeah I totally see it it's kind of like the males beaks head upwards in the centre and the females turn slightly downwards. It's very slight. But now that I see it I'm going to see if it's true for these guys and my newest batch when they finally hatch.
