    Roosting?

    My 3 mo. old chicks huddle together in one corner of the coop at night rather than roosting on the bars. I was wondering if this was "normal" behavior, so reading the comments posted made me feel like it's ok. I guess they will roost eventually. I do see them on the bars during the day...

    Thank you for the advice about putting the sod in a box and covering it with wire - I will do that! So, is it better to have a box with sand or should I provide actual dirt for the chickens to take a "bath"?

    Thank you for the welcome and the advice. I was already planning to have a box in the run filled with dirt, but I don't know anything about growing fodder. I'll certainly read up on that subject. Thanks again!
