Appenzeller spitzhaubens silver x gold project

Hi guys, so I am crossing silver and gold spitzhaubens in order to get a gold male to cross back with my gold hen in order to breed golds true. Short intro to explain why: In 2022 I bought 11 gold spitshauben chicks from a breeder who lived some distance from me, and on impulse I bought a pair...

Help me find out what the look will be!

I've never seen a red jungelfowl with straw colouring which of course doesn't mean they don't exist but he isn't what you'd expect a red junglefowl rooster to look like.

Another project I'd like to work on is speckled sussex x silver spangled hamburg. I wonder if I could get a speckled hamburg looking bird.

    Creating new chicken breeds

Yes it's been a while since I was on here and in the meantime I found a couple of Hamburg hens, so now that is a separate project from my Spitzhaubens. With the Appenzellers I...

    Show off your roosters

My silverudds blue :) They come in 3 colours and some variations within each variety, but the main 3 are blue, splash and black, and mine is blue, so you could say he is a silverudds blue - blue. Swedish breed that lays greenish eggs.

Very very interested in seeing more pic of the Hamburg x Spitz cross! I am in Norway and having trouble finding Hamburg hens for my rooster so have been toying with the idea of crossing him to my golden spitz hens or even waiting for my silver spitz chicks to grow and pair him up with any silver...
