    Speckled sussex?? My most docile, sweet, friendly chicken. She came to me when she'd hear me coming, and let me do WHATEVER I wanted to her - pet, kiss, check feet, spread wings, etc.

    5 months, the only speckled Sussex, much smaller than the other 3 mix breed chickens, for example one was a R.I. RED . None of them lay eggs yet, is that normal? Do they lay around 9 months?
