What do I have to do in order to convince someone into hatching SSs

Idk they were the most ignorant, stubborn chickens I ever had. Aggressive, too. Maybe the eggs they hatched out of were shaken too much

Speckled sussex?? My most docile, sweet, friendly chicken. She came to me when she'd hear me coming, and let me do WHATEVER I wanted to her - pet, kiss, check feet, spread wings, etc.

Yesterday a chick hatched, not one of the pips that I’d seen. Last night, one of the pippers died, and the other looked malpositioned. It made no progress since last night and I knew if I didn’t help it wasn’t going to hatch anyway. I think it was like that for too long, I don’t think it will be able to fully straighten out its body. But I will give it some time. Day 20 for the quail. Long overdue. I’m assuming the other eggs are DIS.

What do I do if I end up with a lonely quail? I have before and it kind of sucked. She was never satisfied unless I was right with her. but hopefully the other one will pull through.
