    New eggs

These chickens were bought at the same time and they're both the same size. Any idea why one's comb is bigger than the other?

    New eggs

My apologies to everyone. My daughter informed that we got these chickens before I thought we got them. So they are actually 19 weeks old. Getting old isn't the best thing in life. LOL. Maybe it's time for them to put me out to pasture. But I have been getting an egg a day from my 2 New...

    New eggs

I Googled it and the first picture that came up was the New Hampshire red that looks just like mine. They are very beautiful bird. I love how the feathers lay on the back of the neck going down the back. Thanks for pointing that out to me.

Good to know. I'll research it some more. When you buy them from the feed store they just tell you what they are which I guess could be wrong.

    New eggs

I bought them on May 8th and our local feed store got them on May 7th. I told me when I bought them they were only a day or 2 old.

    New eggs

I bought these chickens a day after they were hatched. The first three eggs were small and they are all brown and I know they're coming from my cinnamon Queens which I have two of. I actually picked up one of my cinnamon queens and she was sitting on it the egg and it was bigger than the first 3.

    New eggs

I am new to this and just signed up today. I have buff orpington hens and cinnamon Queens hens. They are about 12 weeks old. I found two eggs in the chicken coop yesterday. Seems a little early to me. Does anyone know if this is normal? I have not made any nest for them they were just laying on...
