    Angel wing in young drake!?

So I tried all night to wrap my poor duck. Poo was splattered everywhere! Lol. But after successfully wrapping his wing, he would have it out a few hours later. I tried wrapping it 3 times and leaving him in our closed in shower. A few hours later I would go check on him and his wing was out of...

    Angel wing in young drake!?

Does this look like the beginning of angel wing in my black swedish drake? I'm going to wrap it, because I believe it is the start of angel wing. Am I doing something wrong though for him to develop this? My ducks free range and also have duck feed pellets. All the others seem fine.

    Pekin vs Buff

Hello, I have 2 ducklings in my flock that I'm not sure what breed they are. They were full yellow with a dirty yellow looking face and their bills were a tan/flesh color. I originally thought Pekin, but now thinking maybe Buff. Thoughts?

Is my Khaki Campbell a drake or duck?

I got 2 khaki campbell ducklings from Tractor Supply. They are about 8/9 weeks old now. We originally thought they are both females, however the one with the white tipped wings quacks and has a deep voice. The one that is solid brown has a quiet "cheep". She sort of mutters while foraging, and...

    Duckling breed

Here's another Tractor Supply duckling breed guessing game post. 😆 We got three babies yesterday. I'm hoping the little grey one (named Pepper) is a Saxony. Then there's the 2 yellow ones. One is yellow with one single dot on its head (Hoper). And one is yellow with tints of light brown around...

Dominique vs Barred Rock vs Plymouth Rocks

Hi. What's the difference between Dominique chickens, Barred Rocks and Plymouth Rocks? I just got a chick who's almost got all of his/her adult feathers who is black and white speckled. I know it's one of these breeds, but what's the difference? Thanks!

New chick with broken leg! What to do....

I definitely think it is broken now that I am home to look at the chick. It's leg is stuck out behind it and it REALLY swollen, it won't get up or walk now.

Another thread on 'What breed from Tractor Supply?' :)

[/IMG]Can anyone identify these tan chicks with brown markings. 3 came from the pullets bin, and 2 came from a straight run bin. All are tan/cream. Except for 2 white ones that I'm not interested in identifying. Just the tan/cream colored ones. Thanks guys!

    Respiratory Illness in Hen

I had to cull one from my previous flock that was sick...it was not fun! Unfortunately, some wild creature ate all my chickens a week later leaving me to start over new (a new coop as well). So here I am back at square 1 with a sick chicken again that I just bought 3 days ago. Is there anything...

    Chicken isn't laying...

Hi Mary, My girls are free range, but I also provide a local feed laying pellets. She should be settled in from the move by now. I would think. She seems very happy. She is not molting, and has no symptoms of illness, never has (3 months going on now since I got her). I am starting to think she...
