    Thank you for the advice. I will redo the nest. By the way I have 2 mallards male and female, and 3 black and white ducks 2 females and a male. Age is unknown. The black and whites were laying when I got them 3 weeks age. The mallard has been with me for 2 months without laying yet.

    I've never seen a fox out in daytime. That is a scary thought. My chickens are in the coop at night but roam during the day. I thought my concerns were hawks and snakes.
