The only starter available to me was 18%. I switched to grower/finisher (15%) at about 4 weeks. Mine were fine and weighed around 7 pounds at 8 weeks. I let the feed run out in the evening.

I would recommend getting your music from Amazon.com. The files are higher quality and do not have DRM protection. In other words you can put them on any Mp3 player. Try to get more than a 1 Gig. You will fill that up quick. Get at least 4 Gig.

I raised and butchered my own cornish rock x meat birds. We have tried cooking them in several different ways (oven, crock pot, smoking). The breasts turn out too dry every time. The legs, thigh and wings are great. Does anyone have any ideas or recipes to make the breast more juicy?

Very nice. A few questions:
What are the dimensions?
Is it fairly easy to move?
How many chickens are you going to have in there?
I currently have a hoop coop. It is pretty heavy to move without the tractor.
You can try skinning. It's a little quicker but you don't have that nice skin on there to keep the meat moist during cooking. I skinned some of mine. However these will go in the crockpot where drying out is not an issue.
Good Luck
We have had a very wet spring here in Arkansas. With mine a made a plywood platform so they would have a dry area to roost at night. You the don't want to have platform very high not more than a few inches.

I made mine cheaply out of a piece of 10" aluminum roof flashing (available at Lowes or Home Depot $10). Roll it into a cone and screw it to a 1x2. I then screw this to a saw horse. I can post pictures of this if anyone is interested.
The chickens a really calm once in the cone...
I housed mine in a fairly cheap hoop coop made from cattle panels and 2x4s.
This coop is 8x10. There was a thread a while back on constructing a hoop coop. This coop is extremely cheap and easy to build. I had 15 in mine but I think you could put 25 in there with no problem. I moved the...

I fed mine free choice until about 3 weeks, when I moved them outside. After that I fed them free choice during the day. I took the feed away or let it run out around 5 pm. I would then move the coop to new grass. They would graze until night fall. I didn't think they were eating...
Here is my hoop coop.
This coop is made from cattle panels with a plywood frame "sled" on the bottom. I have an electric fence around the bottom. I ended up building a low wood platform for the birds to sit on at night, since it was such a wet spring. I didn't want them to get chilled on...

I tried it both ways on the ones I butchered yesterday. The bird seemed to struggle more and take longer to die when I just cut jugular as apposed to cutting the head off.
