    Thank you! I keep hearing that they are so mellow. Do they calm down as they get older? These chicks have avoided me more than any I've ever had!

    I looked again. The chest is more of a light greyish color with some dark splotches here and there.

    I wanted to get some more opinions on one of the dark brahmas that I have. It is about 6 weeks old and was one that was said to be a girl. Her pencilling is looking more broken up now though and it looks like she is getting some pink in her comb and tiny wattles are growing in pink.

    I think I was wrong! I went out at looked at mine that is that age and her comb is looking just as big! I hope someone can help you that knows what they are talking about. :)

    I got these around the 20th of April and they were probably just a few days old so I think they are a little over 4 weeks here. Do you have dark brahmas? :)

    I don't know much but wanted to say cute chicken and that the comb looks pretty substantial for 4 weeks. Possibly a roo?

    aart, that's interesting that yours are feathered so much more. I got this one on April 19th and he had been at the feed store for a week, so maybe 5 weeks? And maybe slow feathering because he is a boy?

    Thanks for your help! So the lighter grey is the boy? I was afraid of that! He has been such a sweet chick and he's going to have to go to a new home. This is him when he was younger:
