That rust color from what I've heard ( new to chicks as well) is a Roo trait.... BB Roos are beautiful! Can't wait to see more pics of urs as s/he gets older

Ooo darn, im thinking another lil cockerel in a city that only allows one. LOL. And im 90% sure 2 of my 6 of my silkies are lil roos ; /
In the meantime I love watching them grow & getting to know each personality!

aart, that's interesting that yours are feathered so much more. I got this one on April 19th and he had been at the feed store for a week, so maybe 5 weeks? And maybe slow feathering because he is a boy?

@Featherforest im unsure, heres a picture of my guy approx 5wks. Hes right around 8wks now. Are you 100% sure yours is a cockerel? Do you have any close up shots?
