Buff Brahma Bantams?

I was surprised at how different buff brahma bantams look as chicks from standard buff brahma chicks.
Too funny. I’ve only ever had standard buff Brahmas, and they have often looked different from each other. So I was basing my opinion on what standard ones look like.

Even though it’s too soon, I would guess that if one of them does turn out to be a boy, it will be the one with the fatter comb. And the other one whose comb looks kind of like a single comb is likely a pullet. It’s a pretty small comb for either variety. Just a guess until they get older. (Looks like a pea comb to me.)

Whatever they grow up to be, I'm just glad they're finally realizing I'm not the devil reincarnated! This group has always shrieked like I was about to murder them any time I put my hands in the brooder. Over the last few days, I've finally coaxed them to eat from my hand and they'll jump into my hand and allow me to pick them up for health checks. Petting them still elicits Halloween-ish noises, lol, but progress, right?
