    To early to feed leave them in the incubator for at least 24 hours they do not need food or water they survive on the yoke for the first 24 to 48 hours.

    To take the tape off i start at the back of the foot and slowly peel it apart and use some soapy water (very little soap) to keep it from sticking back together. slow and gentel and you will get it apart and the chick will thank you.     An easy fix for the curled feet is to use masking tape.What you do is use two peaces of tape the first one goes sticky side up and place the foot on it and spread the toes out into the shape they should be . The second piece of tape goes sticky side down to form a boot to hold the toes in place...

    My first attempt at pheasant hatching ! SET 11 EGGS ON 05 -05- 12

    I am not 100 % sure of the breed of pheasant . I got the eggs from a friend and he thinks that they are Chines ring neck ? They are teardrop in shape and are brown with hint of green and very random white specks. Any ideas any one ?
