    Thank you! I am far from knowledgable when it comes to breeding. We were trying to make some side money originally to support starting up with all the breeds we liked. We ended up preferring the marans to all our other breeds and have decided to really put in some work with them in the future...

    If you check during the winter off rarebreeduactions you get amazing deals. We got our bielefelders from them in 2013 in early February for $160 for 19 of them and ended up with 9 hens! Pretty good deal compared to their site cost. I love chickens, but at the end of the day they all do the same...
