My young hens are pretty quiet unless when they are about to laying. They will sing egg songs or cluck like that. I am curious, for older hens, like > 3 years old, when they no longer lay, do they still cluck?
Thank you! Do you mean all of them are cockerels? I was confused by the Easter Eggers you mentioned. The 10 day old chick is easter egger. Can it be distinguished now or need to wait?
Hi, I had 3 suspected roo, can someone help me confirm? The first one is almost 2 months old, and said to be a cross between cuckoo silkie and unknown hen. The red in the comb is the reason I suspect it is a roo.
The second one is a polish. Also almost 2 months old. The red in comb and wattle...
yeah, I was attracted by the color. Never saw this kind of color before. Initially I only wanted the easter egger, but when I see this chick, I got both

She is really really talkative. When she was younger, she is the only one who constantly rambles. I will wait to see if she gets better after laying. Thank you!
Thank you so much for the advice! I was not sure if I did anything wrong but now I know it is chicken's nature so the chicken would be fine even if I do nothing.
I see. Then does it mean if I escort her to the nest box then she will stop? I did try to put her to the box several times, sometimes she will behave like laying, and sometimes just run out of the box. This chicken is the most talkative one. My brahma and cochin are really quiet. She escaped...
Thank you for the explanation. I could not keep a rooster so there is no rooster. The noise in the video is fine but the egg song is really too loud. She makes the egg song almost every 20 minutes. Really bothered by that noise and hope my neighbors don't complain about that
