Thank you. I cut it open. It’s much smaller than yesterday’s mass and is not bloody like yesterday’s. ( images of yesterday’s above).

Update: started antibiotics today. She had a bit of something come out today , but no blood.

I’m not sure how long since her last actual egg, apart from this lash egg. My hens just started laying again since winter. I’d say I have only seen her egg ( color) nice or twice so far this month.

The vent looks ok this morning. I do believe there was a lash egg as well, when cut it was like congealed blood or liver.

She is awake and alert. Ate some sunflower seeds. I had not yet administered antibiotics. Vent looks ok.

Her vent doesn’t appear damaged. I thought perhaps something prolapsed and was severely pecked as there were so many tiny bits of congealed blood in her feathers .

I believe a hen had lash egg and prolapse and was severely pecked at vent. Leavened her up but anted to avoid any internal infection.

What dose oral? Is it liquid or pill dissolved in water?
