Been a rough week for my chickens... We lost 2 6 week old chicks to gnats on Thursday, a lavender Orpington and a silkie. Today while my wife was cleaning out the brooder, she put our last 2 chicks inside a cage in the chicken run which usually is no big deal, but when she came out this evening...

I tried contacting them but got no answer. Sounded like a good pick up for someone.

I know the lighter colored one that I have is a roo, and he constantly "picks" on another one. I think the one being picked on must be a roo as well. But I don't know if roosters fight each other at 2 months old....

I am looking to do the same thing, I have some Dominique's, Silkies and a Polish. I have what looks a Dominique chick that will be a rooster and being we aren't looking to breed them, we will have to find him a new home.
