Is anyone else haveing a problem with the new format. I can't seem to get the theads centered on my computer. Anything that was posted after the change is off center to the right so I only see half of the line. I don't post alot because I'm just getting started but I read all...

Rlipinski - welcome. I'm new here also. So far great people and great advice. I'm origanally from the east side of the state so about three time a year I have to make the pilgimag to Bay City and Pinconning for polish sausage and cheese. I envy your food supply over there...

I guess all I have to do now is sort lumber and design a coop that I can build with what I have.
Great to have a winter project. Look forward to figuring out which chikens to get in the spring.

Thanks for the info. I'm not overly concerned. Been using the stuff around pets and other small livestock fo years. This is my first attempt at raising chickens and didn't want to kill off the flock by useing inappropriate materials.

Morning All
Started sorting wood for my coop last night. Will using preassure treated lumber have any adverse effect on chickens? Some of it is the older preassure treated. I'm planning on building it out of my scrap lumber pile. Trying to make something usefull out of my previous project...

Good morning all, New to this forum and chickens in general. Just getting started. Winter project is to build a coop and fence in a run. Will begin to populate with chicks in the spring. I have alot of questions abuot raising chikens and I am finding a lot of info on your site. Hope you don't...
