Well the aren’t exactly cuddlers but they aren’t aggressive either. They usually come when we whistle if they are hungry.

Had to say goodbye to my runner ducks today :(

That is terrible, I’m sorry! I love my runners. I hate it when they get pissy over stupid things like that.

    Too Early?

I didn’t let mine out until it was warm or they were feathered, whatever came first. Overly cautious I guess lol

    Feeding question

Mine get a big scoop in the morning and a big scoop in the evening. They free range and hang by the pond the rest of the day.

    Should my heat light smell??

Mine smell when first turned on, even though I wipe the dust off. It should go away. If not like Eggsited said then it’s an issue

Is this chick gonna make it?

I guess if it’s eating and drinking, still active, has heat and what not, should be ok. If you notice it becoming sluggish or not eating/drinking then I would worry. Also check it’s vent and make sure it isn’t pasting. Hope this helps! :)

Is this chick gonna make it?

How old are they? Are the in a brooder? Do they have heat? Were they hatched or bought?

    Building a run

I tied a some masonry string to the bottom of my corner t-post and ran it to the opposite corner, got it really taught and used it as a guide to get my lines straight. Worked really well.
