I have a 5 yr old healthy male duck. He lost his soul mate recently and needs a home to live out the rest of his days with other ducks. He is free, all I ask is that he goes to a good home. I hatched him in 5th grade and hate to see him go.
I know a private breeder that is located in central washington. I could pm you her information, if you'd like.
She has emu's mostly for their natural products (feathers and stuff) but she has sold me 2 eggs once before, in the early spring.
Well, in my experience usually when you have a black and buff, all you'll get is black silkie chicks.
I don't think a buff's genes are as strong as a black silkies genes.
I don't have any partridge or white, so i can't say there.
But with my black rooster and buff girls, i never get any...
Age...I would say maybe 5 weeks.
Not sure on gender.
Her color is really interesting, maybe some kind of a mix. I would say splash but the brown throws me.
Really pretty silkie though!
Back to the original pic/question,
I think the top one looks grey. Or maybe a gray partridge (it could have been a mix up with eggs).
The bottom one looks blue to me, but the stripe does throw me off.
When they feather out more it should be easier to tell their coloring.
My friend told me to get an account so I did!
I live in the great north west and love it here! I have had chickens since I was young and know my way around chicks I currently have 4 chicks in my coop, A Rhode Island, a Barred Rock, a Partridge Rock, and of course a white silkie!!! Please feel...
