It’s extremely jelly like, super super thick. He’s breathing normal and quacking it’s just the hesitancy with food which is worrying. He’s definitely been in the activated charcoal as his beak is black tinted 🤣
That’s all I can think of too, it wouldn’t be anything organ related would it, I know that probably sounds extremely daft 😭 he’s a little hesitant with eating at the moment but I don’t know if that’s just because he’s feeling under the weather now.
I’m pretty sure it came from one of my drakes but not 100%. I just saw him shaking his beak back and forth like he was attempting to dislodge something or wasn’t keen on what he’d eaten. He’s vocalising and breathing normally but seems hesitant to eat. Would not eat millet and has had only...
Here’s their run, just snapped a quick photo. I feel thats going to be the only way now if I or my partner is outside and the dog too. Could I potentially extend this out onto the grass with wire so they could forage when we are in but not looking directly at them?
I can send a photo across they’re in a big run with the reinforced thick metal wire they can’t bite through and their base is concrete and nothings ever gotten into it. I just now worry about their quality of life if they have to be inside that every single day. Will my dog deter them at all...
Okay so the fox is back and nearly took my other female this morning, must’ve just pounced on her as I can’t find any puncture wounds at all but she’s limping on her foot. What on earth can I do to deter them. I’ve read so much and people have just said that’s it now, you won’t get rid of them...
O really do hope so. That’s why I’ve been having her out in the garden in short stints and watching her meticulously because I want her to follow what the rest of the flock is doing. This is the third day she hasn’t laid an egg now but I’ve heard they can stop laying when they go through a...
In all honesty I was in the vets about 90 seconds. He said I’m happy to prescribe the antibiotics she was on last time and he said I do not know much about ducks and stuck a pen in her face and waggled it so I didn’t hold out much hope. She must have eaten a little of something through the night...
She seems okay just laying down but hasn’t eaten anything. Should I be concerned that she’s not had a poop in so long? How long can they go without eating properly? When she was out with the others earlier she was drinking amply but wanted to spend a lot of time under the tree but they rallied...
