Did you mention to the vet about her not eating and pooping? You might want to ask about tube feeding.

In all honesty I was in the vets about 90 seconds. He said I’m happy to prescribe the antibiotics she was on last time and he said I do not know much about ducks and stuck a pen in her face and waggled it so I didn’t hold out much hope. She must have eaten a little of something through the night because one of her poops are brown. She’s still breathing extremely heavy when I approach. I’ve just put her in the bath, come away and her breathing is normal now.

Once she is over this event, she will eat extra to compensate. Just keep her hydrated with Rooster Booster Poultry Cell or similar poultry vitamins in oral rehydration solution. Worry not about pooping. She won't poop much while she is not eating.

O really do hope so. That’s why I’ve been having her out in the garden in short stints and watching her meticulously because I want her to follow what the rest of the flock is doing. This is the third day she hasn’t laid an egg now but I’ve heard they can stop laying when they go through a period of shock, is that correct?

She laid an egg this morning, wounds are nearly healed up, the one on the wing is fine now and she’s started eating her normal feed

the scab on her stomach is black, will that just fall off eventually? It’s great she’s just had some crushed oyster shell too

Okay so the fox is back and nearly took my other female this morning, must’ve just pounced on her as I can’t find any puncture wounds at all but she’s limping on her foot. What on earth can I do to deter them. I’ve read so much and people have just said that’s it now, you won’t get rid of them so I’m stressing about this as I want them to have a quality of life. Myself and my partner were up and about the house I just feel like it’s going to be relentless now.

Are your ducks inside fencing or a run? I had a fox running the fence here a couple weeks ago trying to figure out how to get in thankfully I heard the ducks making their warning call and went up and scared him off. If I hadn't had them inside of fencing I am sure I would have lost one since this fox was by itself And it would have kept coming back . I know fencing will not always deter a predator but it does help. The only other thing is to build a huge run and keep them inside of it. And let them forage when you can be out to watch them.
