Addressing Christmas Cards

When you’re writing a Christmas card to someone you know fairly well…say, your former music teacher…do you also include their spouse (who you also know but not as well)? Or just the music teacher?

I don’t write cards to adult acquaintances very often…

I just say “you and your family”

I address it to the singular person I'm writing to but I'm sure to include well wishes to the whole family, even if it's just in the closing line.

Yes, "Mrs. Awesome Music Teacher & Family" works well.

I just sign the card with my name. If appropriate I may sign, Love, (my name). It's also fine to add something along the lines of Happy Holidays or Merry Christmas above your name, if you wish.
