    Reputable hatcheries in Southern California?

I love Buckaboo Farms. Most of my silkies are from there and they haven’t had any issues yet! I think my oldest from there is 4, but they show no signs of slowing down.

    This is a pullet, right?

    Definitely a pullet!

    Am I a pullet?

    I vote pullet

    Injury or fowl pox?

Looks like dry fowl pox. Separate since it's super contagious.

    Severe bumblefoot

Poor Misty, I hope she's feeling better soon! It does sound like a really feisty bumblefoot

Pullet suddenly not interested in food and water

I'd recommend a broad spectrum antibiotic. Especially since your vet saw an overgrowth of bacteria. It might be a bacterial infection that took over.

Pullet suddenly not interested in food and water

Please separate her. Dog crate with food and water somewhere warm and quiet. Make sure she isn't being picked on by other flock mates. My flock has been hit hard with coccidosis this year as well as general illnesses. Do you have Corid and antibiotics? When my vet did an check on my lethargic...

    Severe bumblefoot

Definitely agree with the above posters. I've had cases of bumblefoot that lasted for months. We even took her to the vet and they were able to take a look at her. They suggested surgical route which would cost me $400. We decided to continue the soaks and after a few weeks it went away. But...

Is this normal chicken poop ?

Has it been hot where you live? Looks like they have been drinking more water. Any treats you've been giving them? And are they acting any different than their usual selves?

    Hen Molting or Egg Bound?

Definitely separate. I usually have a dog crate and put it somewhere quiet. Make sure she isn't being bullied by any other chickens. Does her abdomen feel swollen? Is she walking like a penguin?

    Necropsy results: Fatty Liver

My 1 year old black silkie passed of the same thing. We got a necropsy done and it was due to fatty liver. And it was our fault. We fed so much scratch and human food. Our vet had to scold us and tell us to only feed a handful of scratch. And fresh fruits and veggies are great! Anything they...

need chicks near Orange County CA

I have a few eggs in my incubator right now, I’m located in Irvine, Orange County. Would you like for me to update if they hatch? The roo is a Barred Cochin and the hens are either Ameraucana or Buff Orpington.

Help me with this 5 week old cochin?

Can you guys help me guess the gender of this cochin chicken? The feed store said that she's a girl, but what concerns me is those waddles at around 5 weeks old. The store said they're 90% accurate and all my other chicks seem to be girls, so I'm hoping this little grey one is too!
