I've been on the hunt for sexed bearded silkies, most of my local hatchery's do not sell them until they're 7 weeks old, but raising my flock from chicks is my favorite part, anybody got any ideas?

I think it's a rooster, after she walked away I heard the rooster noise and no other birds were around, so that's a natural eye color?

I went outside today and saw this new chicken near my fence and it's got bright red eyes, I at first thought it was pretty cool but then I googled to find the breed and seen nothing but bad things, I have a little area where my neighbors chickens can come in and eat because they aren't the best...

Thank you all so much! My current chicken count is up to 10 now and the four from tractor supply are 6 weeks tomorrow and moving out to the coop! Also I'm in California and my wife and I are building our third coop, the advice and resources here have been so valuable, thank you for your help

Update: my wife wiped her eyes a few times and now they're both fully open, also I didn't notice her nostril, I think it may just be the picture because it looks normal irl, thanks for all the help
