    Rooster spurs

Is there a way of maintaining roo spurs similar to you do a dogs nails? Trim them up lightly every month and keep them the same short length constantly. This is for a young roo who hasn’t got length, not an older roo with multiple cms and would have a large blood supply

    Pekin Bantam, Dominant White?

Do Pekin bantams have a dominant white strain? And if so could you cross it with a mottled colour and get a percentage of pure white due to this?

    Breeding Buff Mottled

Am I correct I. Thinking breeding buff mottled to buff mottled will create 100 buff mottled chicks? Or is it similar to blue lines where best to breed to another colour to produce a larger percentage of buff mottled offspring? Thank you

    Herb Garden

Has anyone grown a herb garden on the outside fence of the chicken coop? Thinking of growing Mint, Parsley, Coriander, Nasturtium and as they spread close enough to the fence, the chickens can peck at it and eat it natural as well as giving done as the plants are trimmed etc. Thank you In...

    Silver / Blue Wyandotte

Has anyone crossed a silver laced roo over blue hens? What was the resulting colour? Quality of lacing? (If roo was good quality) Any photos? Just curious about how the genetics would be affected on this cross. Thank you

Thank you for the reply. But it Pekin bantam crosses I’m curious about. Silkies we’re just mentioned as a potential cross to the Pekin , not as the main subject
