    Making your own feed?

    I have a big galvanized garbage can, I mix in 1 50 lb bag of sunflower seeds, 1 50 lb bag of grains, and 1 50 lb bag of crumbles, it lasts me for a long time. I have 4 (1 roo, 3 hens) since i lost a few.

    I have wire cloth(hardware cloth) on the bottom 3 feet of it, it is also bent like an L and comes out into the yard for about 8-12 inches, this keeps anything from diggin around it. then we just used chicken wire to do the rest.

    tipsydog its Millers agway in CS, i was talking with the owner, they get in a ton of chicks every year right around st pats day. Its in their back room, he gets 4-5 different breeds all pulletts but if you want ducks/geese/etc they can order them for you. I dont think there is a minimum order...
